Well, my power cord for my laptop was the latest casualty of this trip! Some interesting Italian wiring and weird surges where sockets sometimes worked then didnt then sometimes did, then POP fry...bye bye.
But, life goes on....a replacement is easily attainable and good price when I get back to states and the timing, while it sucked because I have to finish writing my paper at these weird Italian-keyboarded computers at school, I was planning on shipping the laptop back tomorrow anyway with about half my stuff. Had no use for the laptop in Germany, Amsterdam, Ireland or London and it would just be something to get stolen!
This thing will be updated via hostel/hotel computer labs and internet cafes.
oh well, we still have our health *knocking on wood*
